How the points add up
The following will hopefully demystify the points system and how they are awarded towards the club and the League.
Club and League points are distributed as follows for the heats only
| 1st | 55 points |
| 2nd | 45 points |
| 3rd | 36 points |
| 4th | 28 points |
| 5th | 21 points |
| 6th | 15 points |
| 7th | 10 points |
| 8th | 6 points |
STAR Club points
Your club points are only awarded at STAR meetings held at Crudgington. So if you are a STAR club member and only ever race at North Shropshire for example you will never get any club points.
Only the STAR cars in any given race at STAR count towards your STAR club points; So for example even if you finish 8th in a race and the first 7 cars are NOT STAR(SR) cars you will be credited with first place points for that race towards STARS club points for the year.
Shropshire League points
Shropshire league points are earned at both STAR and North Shropshire race meetings. They work the same as the club points where by all none Shropshire League cars are removed from the results of any given race.
So if you came second in a race and the car in front was not in the Shropshire league (SR or NS prefix), you would be awarded First place points towards your league score. If a North Shropshire car beat you you would receive the next place points accordingly.
I hope the above demystifies the points system within our great club and league. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me tony@sr27.co.uk and I will do my best to answer your questions.
